The Esme

Designed during the 2020 lockdown as part of a 12-year design career at ABI UK, The Esme began as a completely new boutique hotel-inspired concept for a compact 30 x 12 holiday home. After the initial layout and visuals were presented to Away Resorts, the design was developed further for their Exclusive range, creating a distinctive retreat aimed at friends and guests looking for something more playful than a traditional holiday home.

The carefully planned layout includes two bedrooms, an ensuite, a full family bathroom and a central living area with a compact kitchenette. Bold colours, rich textures, statement lighting and playful details - including neon signs and a feature flower wall - create a vibrant and highly photogenic interior. Large bi-fold doors and rooflights maximise natural light, helping the compact space feel sociable, memorable and full of character.
